Event Date: Sept. 3

Start off the long weekend with lively sounds over on Main Street at this recurring summer festival. Music on Main takes place at the Horseshoe parking lot on South Ocean Boulevard for a fun night of live music. The Labor Day Weekend installment of the show will feature a performance by Black Glass. The summer tradition is happening right in the middle of Barefoot Landing, making it easy to enjoy some local shopping and dining before jamming out to some seaside tunes.

Watch Labor Day Fireworks at Barefoot Landing

Event Date: Sept. 5

Over the lake at Barefoot Landing is where you’ll have the chance to see a spectacular fireworks show, while you’re surrounded by the local community of North Myrtle Beach. This free show will kick off at around 10 pm. We suggest showing up a bit early, as there are no reserved spots.

Spend Labor Day on the Beach

With a longer weekend, make some time to enjoy a day at the beach. Feel the sun and sand of the Grand Strand and enjoy the day swimming, sunbathing, flying a kite, and more! Sweeten the deal even more by finding a beachside rental that makes it convenient for you to enjoy a morning walk on the beach with a fresh cup of coffee. For a more exciting adventure on the shore, try out parasailing, along with other outdoor water-based activities! Lifeguards operate daily from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm; however, the beach is accessible 24/7.

Get Out on the Water

When you’re done with the beach, explore more of the area and take a ride through Waites Island and the Intracoastal Waterway! Grab a kayak or a paddleboard for a relaxing adventure either on the sea or through the area’s mangroves, allowing you to get up-close views of local wildlife.

Grab a Labor Day Meal on the Waterfront

North Myrtle Beach is full of waterfront dining options offering delicious food and stunning views. Here are just several of our favorite waterfront diners in the area that you can try during your long vacation:
