Cherry Grove Pier Fireworks
The centerpiece of any good 4th of July celebration is going to be a spectacular fireworks show, and the Grand Strand is no different! The city will hold its annual fireworks show at Cherry Grove Pier, one of North Myrtle Beach’s most iconic spots. The event will start at 9:30 PM. Organizers encourage guests to bring lawn chairs and to arrive as early as possible to claim their spot. Please keep in mind that the 3500 block of North Ocean Boulevard will be closed starting at 7 PM for the event.
Enjoy Shopping, Fireworks, and Special Events at Barefoot Landing
Right next to the waterway, this North Myrtle Beach favorite is planning a whole host of events for the summer holiday. Barefoot Landing is also planning a 4th of July fireworks show this year, set to start at around 10 PM. Make a whole day of the festivities at Barefoot Landing. Shop around or enjoy dinner before the show kicks off.
If you want to get in a patriotic exercise, head over to Barefoot Landing on July 3rd for the Red, White, and Blue 5 K. The race begins at 7 AM and is open to both runners and walkers. There will also be a Stars and Stripes Kids’ 50-yard dash, starting at 8 AM. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white, blue, or their own patriotic costume for the event.
Observe Salute From the Shore
Take part in this patriotic Coastal Carolina tradition during this year’s Salute From the Shore. The celebration sees a group of F-16 fighter jets storming down the Carolina Coast. North Myrtle Beach is one of the best vantage points to catch this event. The flyover begins at Shaw Air Force Base, with its first stop set for Cherry Grove Pier. The time is set for 1 PM, but we recommend arriving at the Pier early to get a good view before the planes arrive.
